(En.vneconomy.vn) Exports to Vietnam’s second-largest export market reached $36.6 billion in the first eight months.

Total import and export revenue between Vietnam and China reached $105.45 billion in the first eight months of this year, figures from the General Department of Vietnam Customs show.

Vietnam exported $36.61 billion worth of goods in the period, a year-on-year rise of 2.35 per cent.

China is currently Vietnam’s second-largest export market, accounting for 16 per cent of its total export value.

During the eight-month period, nine groups of products exported to China posted turnover of over $1 billion, including phones and spare parts, with $8.87 billion, computers, electronics, and components with $8.73 billion, and fruit and vegetables with $2.26 billion.

The export value of fruit and vegetables represented a year-on-year surge of nearly 113 per cent.

China was Vietnam’s first trade partner in the opening eight months of 2023 with which two-way trade turnover exceeded $100 billion.
