This morning (15 February 2022), the Ministry of Finance held a Roundtable on financing climate change. Permanent Vice Minister of Finance Mr. Tran Xuan Ha and Ms. Carolyn Turk - World Bank Country Director in Viet Nam co-chaired the discussion.
The Ministry of Finance, acting under the authority from the Government of Viet Nam, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to become the eighth member of the Southeast Asia Disaster Risk Insurance Facility (SEADRIF) include Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, The Philippines, Singapore, Japan and Viet Nam. Nguyen Duc Chi, Vice Minister of Finance of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, representative of Viet Nam in the SEADRIF Council of Members.
On November 19, Vietnamese Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc and Australian Treasurer Josh Frydenberg virtually signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on financial cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam and the Australian Treasury for the 2021-2023 period. In Viet Nam, the signing ceremony was held in the presence of the Minister & Deputy Head of Mission, Australian Embassy in Vietnam and Directors of some functional departments of the Ministry of Finance of Viet Nam.
On March 18th 2021, Moody’s Investors Service (Moody’s) revised Viet Nam’s Credit Rating outlook to Positive and affirmed its Ba3 rating.
On May 26, 2022, credit rating agency S&P Global Ratings upgrades Vietnam long-term sovereign credit rating to BB+, outlook Stable.

On March 28, 2022, Fitch Ratings has affirmed Vietnam's long-term foreign currency deposit ceiling rating at BB, Positive outlook.
19 March 2015, Hanoi: Deputy Minister of Finance Mr. Truong Chi Trung on behalf of the Government of Vietnam and Deputy President of Korea Eximbank (KEXIM) Mr. Yin Seong Hyeog signed 2 Loan Agreements on “Thien Tan Water Supply Project Phase II: Supplementary Loan” and “Support Program to Respond to Climate Change for Fiscal Year 2014” with the total value of 25 million US dollars. Representatives of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environments and the People’s Council of Dong Nai Province also attended the ceremony.
